Diwan-i-Khas or Hall of personal Audience was employed by the emperor for the reception of vital guests like kings, ambassadors and nobles privately and to contend with vital affairs of the state. created in 1635, it had 2 halls and therefore the interior hall was referred to as Tambi khana.
