A results of earliest manifestation of Shah of Iran Jehan's love for marble, Diwan-I-Am or Hall of Public Audience was the place wherever the emperor self-addressed the overall public similarly because the nobility. made between 1631-40, it's set near Machchhi Bhawan. the large auditorium mensuration 201' by 67' has flat roof and 2 arched red arenaceous rock gateways to the north and south. The façade has Associate in Nursing arcade with 9 daring arches and also the hall is split into 3 aisles. tho' the building was made in red arenaceous rock, however it had been plastered with white shell plaster to gibe the white marble. The raised rectangular chamber from wherever the emperor self-addressed the individuals was showily decorated. 

Made in marble, this 'jharokha' with a three-arched gap and adorned  with precious stones, was called the 'Takht-i-Murassa' (the Throne Room). This chamber was connected to the royal flats and also the royal women might watch the ceremonials of the Diwan-i-Am through the marble windows with perforated screens on the proper and left of the enperor's chamber, whereas not being seen by those within the hall.
